Children had a super day dressed in red, white and blue. They reflected on British values - including democracy linked to the forthcoming elections and enjoyed a Great British meal for lunch!
Year 6 children enjoyed serving families and community at our afternoon tea in aid of 60years of Christian aid. What a lovely afternoon.
Last Friday Mr Meir took two teams to compete in a Dove Valley inter-schools hockey tournament. The tournament was to be played at the new ‘Ellis’ astroturf at Shobnall Fields (where Mr Meir plays his hockey for Burton). The new venue added to the excitement. 7 a side on three pitches across the ‘Ellis’ with support from Burton Hockey club and East Staffs Sport Partnership. We had a Rangemore team and the other being a federated team in which some of our children joined forces with Needwood. The tournament was held in good spirits and the rain managed to hold off too. 16 teams entered the competition and Rangemore were placed into a tough group along with teams from Thomas Russell and John of Rolleston. Working had, showing great team spirit and harnessing our skills we remained unbeaten throughout the group phase and ended up winning our group. A fantastic achievement, as we beat a few teams with regular hockey players and even county representatives. Our Federated team too had success and managed to qualify from the group phase as Best runner up. Both Teams made it to the Semi Finals!! Rangemore were eventually beaten by the eventual winners, but not before taking them to extra time. Great team effort, now onto Kwik Cricket, Cross country, followed by some football competitions for our Y6 boys and girls. Mr M..
All children at All Saints Rangemore enjoyed some Boxercise sessions. We all found this new form of fitness to be really fun and energetic. Boxercise is said to develop hand-eye coordination, speed and reaction times. We all felt a sense of achievement and enjoyed learning about a new way to build stamina, strength and fitness.
Our wonderful fruits of the spirit achievers for the spring term! Please see the newsletter for the write up.
Children and families had a fantastic afternoon with a special way to celebrate Easter at All Saints. We held a short service explaining the afternoon where families attended and stayed all
afternoon sharing in activities making chalices, palm crosses, eggs decorated as characters from the Easter story and a huge graffiti mural. This was followed by a beautiful service, egg hunt and
refreshments.

Children from class 4 attended the monthly Parish Council meeting this week. The children were able to see how a meeting was run using an agenda, previous minutes and proposing and seconding motions. The children also enjoyed seeing the traffic calming proposals and the speed gun. They were welcomed, held introductions and then the agenda was as follows:
We thank the Parish council for their support of our school.
Children had a fabulous time at the PTA Garden Centre, choosing plants, wrapping them and writing labels. It was a very special time and important that children were fully involved in their choices for their mothers and important ladies in the family!
Thank goodness for our Mums!!!!
