Children across the Forest Federation collected lovely ‘luxury’ items to send to the YMCA for Christmas, crisps, cakes, biscuits and even jewellery were sent to enable the people at the YMCA have a nice Christmas. They brought these items in on our Christmas Party day, sharing the love. Thank you to our families who donated.
The children really enjoyed their Christmas Party lunch carefully prepared by our amazing cooks in the kitchen. It was lovely to have all the children sharing lunch together, talking to each other, pulling Christmas crackers and singing along to the festive music. A great lunch and party had by all.
This afternoon children had a fantastic time at the Pantomime, Sleeping Beauty at the Lichfield Garrick. It was such fun, they shouted out in all the right places, joined in the singing and dancing and were a credit to our schools. Thank you to the PTA for paying for the coaches and refreshments too. A brilliant, Christmassy afternoon.
One boy from each school won the intra school chess tournament and these boys had a superb afternoon in the interschool tournament, held at All Saints when the Needwood boy won. They both played very well. We continue to thank Roger Ridley for his fantastic support.
We had such a busy Christmas fair which was so Christmassy and fun! We thank our PTA for planning it and setting it all up, for manning stalls and for all of their hard work, we thank families for their donations and for visiting and enjoying the stalls on offer. We thank the children for making it so vibrant! What a wonderful event. We will let you know what we have raised next week!
The church was filled to bursting and children and families had a fantastic evening celebrating Christmas with wonderful singing and a nativity play called Prickly Hay. It was roof raising, magical and sparkly and a special way to bring the whole school community together. Thank you to children, staff and families for a super night!
Year 3 and 4 pupils attended Burton Albion from the Forest Federation where they were privileged to have their photo taken with the Premier League Cup, play in tournaments, undertake skills activities and met Billy Brewer! A couple of children were also interviewed for the TV!

Both schools were invited along to take part in Winter Wonderland Music Share concert with several local schools who work alongside Mr Mansfield. It was a wonderful evening that truly got everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Children and families had a super Christingle service reflecting on this beautiful time of year. Children shared their Christingles and will enjoy lighting them with families at the weekend. As always, we thank Rev. Les for his support and our families for attending and making it special.
We thank Rev. Les for coming to school to bless the Christmas parcels which will be collected to be sent abroad to enable children, less fortunate than ourselves, to have something for Christmas. Thank you to all of our families for their wonderful donations; the boxes looked amazing.
